Easy Garlic Shrimp

Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 6 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 6 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 teaspoons cold butter
  • salt to taste
  • water, as needed
Directions:
  1. Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet
  2. Place shrimp in an even layer on the bottom of the pan and cook for 1 minute without stirring
  3. Season shrimp with salt, garlic and red pepper; cook and stir approximately 2 minutes or until the shrimp begin to turn pink
  4. Stir in lemon juice and cold butter
  5. Cook and stir until all butter has melted and shrimp are pink, approximately 3 minutes
  6. Season with salt to taste
  7. Serve shrimp topped with the pan sauce
